About the Role
At Shaped, we help companies deliver personalized product and website experiences using our recommendation and search systems. We're looking for an Account Executive to promote our platform and drive customer adoption. In this role, you'll connect our technology with prospective customers, demonstrating how easily our solutions can deliver tangible business benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Customer Acquisition & Revenue Growth:
Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, proactively engaging with prospective customers to understand their business needs and demonstrate how Shaped’s platform can deliver relevant, data-driven experiences.
- Deliver Impactful Presentations & Demos:
Lead engaging product demonstrations and technical presentations, clearly articulating the benefits of our recommendation engine and how it integrates with customers’ existing workflows.
- Build & Nurture Client Relationships:
Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and technical stakeholders, ensuring that customer feedback is communicated across our organization to drive continuous product improvement.
- Collaborate Across Teams:
Work closely with marketing, product, and engineering teams to develop tailored strategies and solutions that meet customer objectives, while also contributing insights to our product roadmap.
- Market & Industry Engagement:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to effectively position Shaped as the go-to solution for recommendation and search systems.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development within the technology, SaaS or AI
- Prior experience selling to technical stakeholders such as engineers is advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in fast-paced, innovative environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in an accessible manner
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A proactive, “wear-many-hats” attitude and the drive to solve problems creatively in a startup environment
- Familiarity with AI, data science, or recommendation systems is advantageous
