Physical Therapist

Shasta Health is looking for part-time physical therapists to join our growing team in New York. All Shasta Health PTs are independent contractors and get to choose when they want to work, and how they want to work.

Backed by Y Combinator (the testing ground for generational tech companies like AirBnB, Stripe, and DeliveryHero), Shasta Health is building a new platform that handles all of the non-clinical parts of PT (billing, scheduling, marketing, etc.) so PTs earn 3x more per visit.

About You:

• You’re a NY licensed physical therapist who is passionate about patient care across the age spectrum. We’re starting first with the patients who need you most (Medicare - our golden generation) and growing into other patient populations
• You’re keen to explore combining outpatient physical therapy with in-home PT benefits, and looking to grow into telehealth in the future
• You are looking for a flexible work schedule or an additional side hustle where you have control
• You are comfortable treating Medicare patients, and open to working with other patient groups as we grow

The Role:

• Direct Patient Care: You’ll be treating Medicare patients in home and open to expanding into tele-health and other populations.
• Flexibility: Set your own schedule. Choose when and where you want to see patients, though some flexibility will be needed throughout the week.
• Contract: Part-time physical therapists, first as contractors, but with the opportunity to grow into full-time roles in the future as we continue to grow and shape patient care together.
• Case Load and Location: Minimum of 3-5 hours a week, with 4-10 patients seen in-person around your area per week that can flex up or down depending on volume.
• State-of-the-art Technology: Our software platform handles scheduling, documentation, home exercises and insurance & billing. Forget about the paperwork and focus on your patients!
• Participate in Tech/Product Development: You’ll report directly to another experienced clinician, and have direct access to both the CEO and CTO as the voice of both patients and providers, giving input into how the care model and software should work. You’ll also get to experiment with new tech like AI and VR with the goal of making rehab better!

Requirements:

• NY State PT license
• Willing to treat patients in their homes within a 30-minute driving radius of your location

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with similar documentation systems like WebPT and StrataPT
• Experience with patient acquisition
• Previous experience with outpatient at home PT services
• Residency trained or board certified
• Verifiable Medicare Credentialing (NPI number)
• Personal transportation + valid driver’s license
• Liability insurance

Salary, Benefits and Contract:

• $80-150 per hour of patient care
• Travel stipend based on volume
• 1099 contractor - with future opportunities for full-time and internal positions based on your great patient care results
