Sanj (Chief Research Officer and co-founder): Sanj did his MSci in Physics at the University of Cambridge and his PhD in AI at the Gatsby Unit, UCL. He won awards at top AI conferences, worked on the R&D team at Huawei, and received widespread attention for his contributions to open-source LLM GitHub projects. He joined Magic Carpet AI as employee #4, where he developed AI strategies for trading which deployed millions of capital before being acquired by Blockchain.com.
Chris (Chief Executive Officer and co-founder): Chris did his undergrad at Imperial College, masters at the University of Cambridge, and PhD at UCL, during which he published 10+ publications and won awards in top AI conferences and journals. He has worked in leading tech organisations, including Dyson, The Alan Turing Institute, and InstaDeep before its acquisition by BioNTech.
Angus (Chief Technology Officer and co-founder): Angus did an MEng in Computer Science at the University of Bristol where he won a cyber security scholarship at GCHQ before working at Qualcomm. He then joined a London-based hedge fund, Coremont (Brevan Howard). There, he led a small team to build a greenfield trade processing platform which scaled to millions of trades per day.
Justin (Founding Member of Technical Staff): Justin studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and law at Georgetown University Law Center. Before joining Solve, he practiced law at Quarles & Brady, a top U.S. law firm, where he managed, supervised, and prosecuted global patent portfolios and counseled companies on multi-million-dollar global product and technology launches.
Abhi (Founding Full-Stack Engineer): Abhi studied Computer Science at IIT in India. After starting his career at Goldman Sachs, he co-founded WagStays - an âAirbnb for dogsâ - where he served as CTO, built the entire product from scratch, and scaled it to 10K+ users and âš200K MRR. Despite eventual closure due to COVID-19, he continued his startup journey by leading a team of 10+ engineers at a fintech startup, building a decentralized futures exchange with $100M+ daily volume. He then joined Encord (YC W21) in London, where he developed AI model evaluation frameworks and real-time analytics systems that improved model performance by over 90%.
Daniel (Founding Full-Stack Engineer): Daniel studied Computing at Imperial College London. During his undergraduate, he internâd at a bike rental startup where he single-handedly rebuilt the entire frontend, backend, and infrastructure of the software product which today is being used to rent and maintain 1K+ bikes across Oxford.
Roy (Founding AI Engineer): Roy studied Computer Science and Biology at Tel Aviv University. He holds two patents in LLM meta-architectures and big data analysis. Before Solve, Roy joined Perception Point as employee #13 and their first AI hire. He helped scale the company to 300+ people and led 20+ research engineers as Director of Detection and AI. He also previously founded robotics startup Senatus and, in his spare time, built AI products to help VC firms predict early startup success.
Harry (Founding Member of Technical Staff): Harry studied Physics at the University of Bristol and then Robotics at King's College London. He is a UK & European patent attorney with extensive experience in every part of the patent application process, having worked at highly reputable London firms including Reddie & Grose and Dentons. Tom (Founding Full-Stack Engineer): Tom did his undergrad in physics at Imperial, during which he became interested in programming. He then worked as a full-stack engineer at Redgate. He wanted to learn how computers fundamentally work, and so in his spare built emulators to replicate 1980s hardware on which he can now run classic Nintendo games.
As our founding member of technical staff, you will have extensive experience with patent prosecution and interacting with clients.
