About the role

We're a post-revenue, seed-stage B2B startup with ARR growing double digits per month. As we scale, we need a Sales Engineer who can bridge the gap between technical expertise and sales execution, ensuring prospects and customers fully understand and maximize the value of our platform. This will be our first hire for this role so looking for someone who can bring in their experience to help us grow the department.

  • Adaptable & Fast Learner – Able to stay ahead of product updates and continuously refine technical knowledge.

Biggest Necessities:

  • Partnering with AEs and Customer Success to support sales cycles, providing technical demonstrations and pre-sales guidance.
  • Translating complex technical capabilities into business benefits for potential customers.
  • Assisting in proof-of-concept (POC) implementations and guiding customers through onboarding.
  • Acting as a liaison between Product, Engineering, and Sales, relaying customer feedback and feature requests.
  • Understanding industry-specific challenges to tailor our product's positioning.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Pre-Sales.
  • Experience working with SaaS products and APIs, preferably in B2B or FinTech.
  • Ability to deliver compelling product demonstrations and consultative technical presentations.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, working with both sales teams and technical stakeholders.

Bonus If You:

  • Have a strong understanding of accounting software, financial tools, or workflow automation platforms.
  • Have experience working in a fast-growing startup where priorities shift quickly.
  • Are proficient in integrations, APIs, and customization capabilities.

Important Note: This role is currently 100% Remote. In next 6-12 months we will be moving to a hybrid model and will be required to be in office 25% of business days/month. Office locations in San Francisco, Ca ; Tempe, AZ ; and Austin, TX.
