Senior Backend Engineer

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer for Status, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our core backend systems. You will collaborate across various functionalities, including:

• Product API Endpoints: Design and implement robust RESTful APIs to power our applications.
• GCP Infrastructure: Build and manage scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform to ensure high availability and performance.
• Data Pipeline: Develop and optimize data pipelines for efficient data processing and analysis.
• LLM Endpoints: Integrate and manage endpoints provided by leading AI platforms such as Anthropic and Vertex AI.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js, Express, TypeScript, and Postgres.
• Implement RESTful APIs that are secure, scalable, and maintainable.
• Manage and optimize GCP infrastructure to support our growing platform.
• Integrate and manage Large Language Model (LLM) endpoints from providers like Anthropic and Vertex AI.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

Requirements:

• Education: BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 4+ years of industry experience, preferably in a startup environment.****
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Node.js, Express, TypeScript, and Postgres.
  • Experience building and managing RESTful API services.
  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.
  • Strong experience with data pipeline development and management.
  • Strong experience integrating with AI platforms like Anthropic or Vertex AI is a plus.
