Why You

You’ll define how Structured uses data, working closely with founders, engineers, and product teams to shape our product and strategy. We need someone who’s:

• Strategic & Hands-On – You can architect the data infrastructure while also diving into analysis, experimentation, and insights.
• Technical – You know your way around SQL, Python, and modern data tools (dbt, DuckDB, Polars, Postgres).
• Product-Driven – You understand how data impacts the user experience and can translate insights into actionable product decisions.
• Scrappy & Fast-Moving – You’re comfortable in early-stage environments, balancing speed with rigor.
• Deeply Curious – You don’t just analyze numbers—you dig deep to understand the why behind the data.

What You’ll Do

As Data Lead, you’ll have the opportunity to build and own Structured’s data ecosystem from the ground up.

• Stack: SQL, Python, Postgres, DuckDB, Polars, dbt, Metabase
• Define & Track Key Metrics – Own Structured’s core KPIs, ensuring we’re measuring the right things.
• Analyze User Behavior – Dive into product analytics to uncover patterns, improve developer experience, and shape the roadmap.
• Build & Maintain Data Infrastructure – Design scalable pipelines and models to ensure high-quality, accessible data.
• Develop Experimentation & Insights – Run A/B tests, cohort analyses, and deep dives to inform decision-making.
• Enable Data-Driven Decision-Making – Make sure every team—product, engineering, growth—has the data they need to move fast and make smart choices.
