Senior/Lead Backend Engineer (2-4 yrs)

This is a key position with us for someone who has strong engineering fundamentals, wish to build along with us in a fast-pace environment and has worked in AI.

Requirements:

• Experience in building using NodeJS (min 1.5 - 3.5 yrs)
• Loves writing quality code and one that scales
• Worked on Elastic search and queues
• Software engineering skills -
  • Relational DBs - PostgreSQL, MySQL
  • Rate limiting, Scaling
  • Basics of security
• Worked/Familiar with AWS/Azure/GCP
• Basic understanding of frontend - React/JS
• Bonus - Have worked in Python before
• Preferred - Worked/familiarity in AI/ML tech (RAGs/Training/LLMs)

Note - If you are primarily an AI/ML engineer with overlap in backend skills, we have another opening for AI engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Core initiatives and features in backend
• Set up tooling and running experiments related AI
• Build custom LLM models - fine tuning, RLHF, RLAIF
• Pushing tech quotient of team - keep self updated with evolving technology and AI based tooling
• Take decisions driven by speed to production + quality for today

Compensation: Experience + skills

You resume will be short listed as per your prior experience and inclination to work with us.

Introductory call/ in-person meet (20-30 min) - We will discuss your work in detail. Depending upon the depth of skillset and culture.

F2F 1, Fundamentals of programming, batching, object oriented in JS/Python, etc.
F2F 2, 1hour system design - LLD - From a vague problem statement, concretise the requirements, DB schema design, performance, choices of architecture, etc.
F2F 3, 1hour system design - HLD - Given a problem statement, design and architecture to achieve this keeping in mind how system would transition over an 1 year, ensuring security, right choices of storage/DB, etc.
