Android Developer II (Kotlin)

Swipe is a Simple billing and payment for 75M+ Indian SMBs. We are backed by Y-Combinator and top-tier VCs and Angel Investors from Silicon Valley and India. We make it easy for local businesses to invoice their customers over WhatsApp. We are growing 10x year over year and with that growth we need your help in maintaining that growth.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two year of work experience and should have developed 1-2 apps that are currently available on the Play Store.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Experience building Android Apps
• 1-2 Apps you have built should be on Play Store
• Expertise with KOTLIN, XML
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Experience with Firebase is a plus (FCM, analytics)
• Understanding of Android’s design principles and interface guidelines
• Experience with KMM or Performance profiling is a bonus

Roles & Responsibilities

• Working closely with founders to develop and maintain the app and build out product features at a rapid pace.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Contribute to product development by pitching in with ideas and doing proof-of-concepts.
