Founding Auditor

At Tally, we're building the future of the audit function with AI, transforming a long-neglected $250b+ global audit services industry. We're well funded with years of runway and looking to bring on a Founding Auditor to accomplish our mission. You'll play a key role in product development, strategy, and supporting clients across audit engagements.

About the Role

The Founding Auditor will be responsible for:

• Performing detailed financial audits, analyzing financial data, evaluating controls, assessing compliance, and preparing recommendations and audit reports
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Contributing to the development of agentic AI systems to automate ingestion, testing, analysis, and documentation

This is a full-time on-site role located in San Francisco, CA.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate:

• Has Big 4 audit experience (senior manager preferred, 5+ years of experience), CPA license
• Has performed financial audits, Uniform Guidance, and other compliance audits
• Is a tech optimist, believing strongly that AI has the power to transform the legacy audit industry

Compensation

Compensation for the role is $140-190k with a competitive equity and benefits package.
