We’re looking to hire a Founding Technical Staff Member at toma.com!
We aim to become the Microsoft/OpenAI of the Automotive industry, supplying a fully integrated AI + software suite to tens of thousands of profitable automotive dealers in America, and then worldwide. Step 1 is to provide the world’s best voice AI solution for the automotive industry, serving departments from service to sales to finance to information technology. We’re a tiny team with revenue growing 50% month over month.
We need someone with experience building large-scale, high-concurrency systems to build and lead our next products, including drop-in IoT phone systems, real-time AR inspection tooling, UI-focused agents for Windows OS interactivity, and more.
We expect you to drink from the information firehose, and you will have full autonomy when making decisions. We are a no-BS workplace where the best data-supported idea always wins, and we like to move quickly.

Required Qualifications
- A track record of excellence throughout your career
- Exceptional coding skills and the ability to ship high-quality code daily
- Strong problem ownership and drive
- Passion and guts for talking to (and getting roasted by) customers
- Experience in building LLM applications
- Great understanding of operating systems and distributed systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Bun, low-level Node.js, T3 Stack (Next.js, React, Prisma, PostgreSQL, NextAuth, tRPC), Python
- Experience architecting high concurrency and throughput systems at scale
- Aptitude for prompt engineering
- Former founding or critical leadership experience
