About Trebu Trebu is building a coworker for logistics and road freight. We are revolutionizing the most critical process in road freight: the load tendering process. Our mission is to automate the sending, receiving, and responding to load tenders, a time-consuming task currently handled manually by overwhelmed human agents using WhatsApp and Email. By focusing on emerging markets, starting with Mexico, we are leveraging AI to transform logistics through deep integrations with WhatsApp (the OS of emerging markets) and email.

Role: Fullstack AI Engineer As a Fullstack AI Engineer at Trebu, you will play a vital role in blending backend and frontend engineering with AI capabilities to create a product that streamlines daily logistics operations. You will work on practical implementations that drive tangible impact on the movement of goods, contributing to our mission of automating and optimizing the load tendering process.

You will join a small, elite engineering team where adaptability and multidisciplinary expertise are crucial. You should feel comfortable taking on any engineering challenge, whether it involves backend services, frontend development, or integrating AI systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications, from backend services to frontend interfaces.
• Implement AI-driven features using foundation models and APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy AI solutions.
• Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Enhance our framework for continuous prompt improvement and evaluation.
• Design, create, and test prompts to ensure accuracy and efficiency of outputs.
• Contribute to system roadmaps, setting clear goals and managing priorities to accelerate time-to-value.
• Stay at the forefront of AI and software development trends.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in software development.
• 3+ years of experience architecting and delivering end-to-end solutions.
• Proficiency in Python and Django or Flask (or experience with other backend frameworks like Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Laravel, etc.).
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React (or similar).
• Familiarity with integrating AI models and APIs into production systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Nice to have (but not required):

• Experience with foundation models and large language models.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Advanced degree in AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Prior experience developing AI-driven applications.
