Hey everyone! We’re Anand, Justin, and Aidan, previously co-founders of Kontractify, coming back as Aftercare.

TL;DR: We help eCommerce stores run conversational post-purchase surveys using AI to capture open-ended customer feedback and marketing attribution data.

🍪 Problem

With the “death of the cookie” rapidly approaching, eCommerce stores must rely more on 1st- and zero-party data to inform marketing decisions like where best to spend money on ads (Meta vs. TikTok vs. Google, etc.).

Because of this, eCommerce stores are more widely adopting tools like post-purchase surveys. However, the current post-purchase survey landscape is lacking in several ways:

  • Limited: mainly offers multiple-choice questions that don’t provide enough context to be useful for marketing teams.
  • Static: asks the same questions regardless of the user’s segment (e.g., new vs. returning user) or the user’s previous responses within a single survey.
  • Disjointed: integrates poorly with the rest of the marketing stack.

✨ Solution

Aftercare is a modern post-purchase survey tool that uses AI to go beyond the traditional multiple-choice survey. It:

  • Asks open-ended questions to capture more detailed and candid feedback.
  • Changes what it asks based on the user’s previous responses so you can ask smart follow-up questions in real time.
  • Summarizes all insights in a single dashboard to inform product and marketing teams at a glance.

Our MVP is a Shopify App, but we want to meet merchants and customers where they’re at, so we’re building out other channels, including a generalized web Iframe, SMS, and voice.

Team

Previously known as Kontractify, we’re coming back as Aftercare. We’ve been friends for 18 years and have deep engineering and ops experience at companies like Palantir, Datadog, Affirm, and Nextdoor.
