Artifact - A modern workspace for electrical design

We're building CAD software for electrical system design

We’re Antony and Corbin - cofounders of Artifact!

In our past life, we built custom Mach 5 jet engines together - with the electrical designs living on iPhone pictures of whiteboards. We’re here to finally bring electrical design tools to the modern age

The ask: if you’re a hardware engineer building complex electrical systems, email us at antony@artifact.engineer or schedule a demo!

THE PROBLEM:

Electrical system design tools have lagged behind modern-day needs:

  1. Manually reading datasheets takes too long and is error-prone
  2. Visio, draw.io, or Excel don’t have built-in electrical capability
  3. Linking low and high-fidelity designs is manual and error-prone
  4. Manufacturing drawings are manually drawn and fall out of sync

THE SOLUTION:

We’re building a single-source-of-truth electrical tool with AI hooks:

  1. Use our AI datasheet parser to generate pinouts
  2. Embed electrical capabilities (e.g. parts libraries & design checks)
  3. Link Low-fidelity block diagrams and high-fidelity details
  4. Autogenerate manufacturing drawings from system definition

OUR TEAM:

We built jet engines together - now we’re building tools we wish we had

Antony Samuel (CEO) is an electrical engineer who has spent eight years developing avionics and software for complex aerospace systems. Most recently, he was the Avionics Lead at Hermeus, where he built the team and infrastructure behind the avionics for the world’s fastest aircraft.

Corbin Klett (CTO) is an aerospace engineering PhD from Georgia Tech, where he applied control theory research to robotic systems. After building embedded software for a high-speed aircraft prototype, he cofounded Artifact to build software to accelerate hardware engineering workflows.
