Know who's working & who's not in real-time
Hi everyone, we’re Kushal & Vivaan - co-founders of Optifye.
We’re CS grads from Duke and because our families run manufacturing companies, we’ve seen more assembly lines than most industrial engineers!
Tl;dr; We place cameras in manufacturing lines and use computer vision to show line supervisors who’s working and who’s not in real-time.
There has never been a way to accurately measure factory worker performance. It is also understaffed; each supervisor, on average, is responsible for 50+ workers.
Companies struggle to boost efficiency because they cannot determine who/what caused the problem.
Ask any manufacturing company owner about the last time they reached their productivity targets and you will get a very long, frustrated answer.
We place cameras in manufacturing lines and use computer vision to count the number of pieces each worker makes in real-time.
We then relay this information on a dashboard.
We believe that if you can measure it, you can improve it.
Owner: Gets accurate real-time factory, line, and worker productivity metrics - no need to rely on your production head (who never has the incentive to say production looks terrible)
Production Head: Gets line-wise and worker-wise metrics to identify areas for improvement
Shopfloor supervisor: Can finally identify who/what is causing inefficiency in the line and fix the problem on the go
Worker: Held accountable for good or bad performance
We align every stakeholder with manufacturing companies’ primary KPI – efficiency.
