Harvey worked on deep learning models for recommendation systems at TikTok and Google, improving the experience for billions of people worldwide. Mo worked on self-driving cars at NVIDIA for 4.5 years, inventing self-optimizing motion controllers with RL and filing 4 patents in the process.
Much like a self-driving car, AI agents perceive the world, plan a sequence of actions, and act on that plan. We came together last year to build a state-of-the-art web browsing agent that achieves 93% on WebVoyager, outperforming OpenAI Operator, Google’s Project Mariner, and all other browsing agents publicly available.
For an AI agent to take actions on your behalf, the bar for accuracy is high, especially for enterprises. While ordering a pizza to a random location 400 miles away is something to laugh about, hallucinating facts in a consultant’s research report is a very big deal.
AI agents act exactly like human workers who’ve never experienced a particular task: neither get it perfectly right the first time. Humans, however, learn from demonstration, experience, and feedback.
This learning ability is the missing piece towards human-level AI. We’re building a novel cognitive architecture that enables Tessa to not just accomplish tasks like a human, but also learn with experience and natural language feedback. This architecture enables information retrieval that is guaranteed hallucination-free.
