Kim has over 10 years of experience teaching university students and a deep expertise in AI. In December 2023, he conceived the idea for Alice.tech to tackle one of the most pressing challenges in education today: the lack of affordable personalized learning solutions. Kim and Patrick have been friends for eight years and frequently discussed startup ideas, though they hadn’t pursued one together until now. After just a few weeks of prototyping, they became convinced of Alice.tech’s potential—not only as a viable product but as something they both wished they’d had during their own student years. This shared vision led them to co-found Alice.tech in February of 2024.
Education is one of the largest and most essential industries worldwide, encompassing 20–25% of the global population as students. Yet, a critical issue remains: affordable, personalized learning is out of reach for many. This gap stifles potential, deepens inequality, and fuels societal and individual challenges. At Alice.tech, we are tackling one of the most pressing challenges in education today: making personalized learning and exam preparation accessible to everyone.
A brighter, more equal world.
