About the role

We’re looking for founding engineer #2 to build and own (a lot of) product.

Join our team of just 4 who:

  • scaled to $1M+ in ARR
  • serves 180+ customers, including publicly traded co’s
  • built infrastructure that processes billions of $ in annualized sales and forwards billions of events per month

Requirements

Senior full-stack experience

  • Productive and fast in React (or similar)
  • Comfortable with backend development and databases (Python/Postgres or similar)
  • Knowledge of how production software is deployed and scaled

Nice to have

  • Previously worked at a high-growth software company
  • Previously worked with Clickhouse
  • Deeper AWS knowledge

Product

Converge is building the unified marketing measurement stack for online stores. We make it easy for marketeers to understand where their customers come from, cut unprofitable channels, and scale when things are working.

We combine customer data collection, consent management, identity resolution, marketing attribution, data forwarding, and analytics into a single platform. We have large product surface.

By vertically integrating the modern data stack, we can offer marketeers a 10x better product experience.

How we ship

  • We ship product end-to-end. Work is broken down by what problem it solves, not where in the stack the solution lives.
  • High level of ownership. Every engineer is responsible for ensuring that they have all the context they need to ship fast.
  • You will be working directly with our customers.


We ship in product cycles that typically take 1 - 4 weeks. We have one weekly meeting where we go over what was done and what should be in the next week, as well as any smaller features to pick up from customer support/sales.

  • Simplicity. As a small team, we require simple solutions. If you’re malcontent with overcomplicated solutions, and have a natural tendency to simplify, you’ll fit right in.

We review your application.

2. Screening call (30min)

We want to learn about your motivations to join Converge, determine why you’d be a great fit, and answer any questions you may have for us.

3. Culture interview (1h)

We go in larger detail on your past experiences, how you like to work, etc. to learn whether there’s a fit with our way of working and what we value.

4. Technical screen (30min)

We talk through a typical engineering problem we face at Converge to learn more about how you think as an engineer.

5. Superday (1 day - fully paid)

You join us for a day to meet the team and show us what you can build!
