About the role

About Us

We are developing a game engine that can code itself at runtime to adapt to player actions. We are currently building a community for our first game powered by this engine.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Unity game developer. You will be working with a small team to build out our upcoming spell crafting roguelite that will be released on Steam. This position is a contract role for at minimum 3 months, 40 hours per week, with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new gameplay features in Unity
  • Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability for a smooth player experience
  • Debug complex issues using profiling tools and best debugging practices
  • Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other developers to bring our vision to life

Ideal Profile

  • Shipped a PC game on Steam as part of the development team
  • Demonstrated experience in optimizing Unity applications for performance
  • Deep understanding of Unity’s project architecture, asset management, and advanced features
  • Comfortable working with version control systems
