The co-founders (Simon Kubica and Christian Iacullo) met in Sydney in 2016 through mutual friends. We were toying with the idea of starting a company at that point, but felt we still had a lot to learn from all of the tech companies springing up around us. Christian went to Canva, Simon went to Atlassian, and we spent about 5 years at each. Both companies turned out to be rocketships, building our skillsets and helping us grow through all of the talented people around us. Reflecting on our experiences in both companies, one of the clearest burning problems was how painful and fragmented planning was. So seven years later, we finally saw the opportunity to bring a product of our own into the world.
Today, the Index app is the best product planning tool for Linear Product Management. It’s a Productboard and Jira Product Discovery alternative for modern teams, helping them collect ideas, manage feedback, and build roadmaps – all tightly integrated with Linear.
Our vision is giving every company an ‘Index’ of all their projects, goals, and feature requests, rather than this being scattered across tools or mixed in with their issue tracker.
