Miyagi Labs is an AI-powered platform that transforms videos from content creators and professors into complete, interactive courses. YouTube is one of the best educational resources in the world, but it lacks the tools to turn passive watching into active learning. By making course creation as simple as uploading a video, we’re building Shopify for online education, empowering content creators and educators to transform their knowledge into engaging, interactive learning experiences. We automatically generate high-quality courses—in under an hour—that people actually complete. On our platform, learners engage with short-answer and multiple-choice questions, as well as quizzes, receiving instant feedback and support from an AI voice tutor if they need more help.

Hi everyone! We are Guang and Tyrone - cofounders of Miyagi Labs.

TL;DR

We use AI to transform YouTube content into complete, interactive courses—imagine a 3Blue1Brown video turned into an online course with quizzes and study material. We help people learn better with active practice and personalized feedback.

The Problem

Learning is flawed: online resources are everywhere, but 1-1 tutoring (which most people can’t afford) is still 2 standard deviations more effective than other methods.

YouTube has top-notch content on everything for free, but how do you turn that passive watching into active learning?

Our Solution

Content creators, educators, and learners can instantly convert educational videos into structured, interactive courses that drive real learning.

Our platform automatically generates short-answer and multiple-choice questions, quizzes, and AI-driven feedback, turning passive watching into an active, engaging experience. Learners receive instant responses to their answers and can access an AI voice tutor for additional guidance.

Creators and educators, who love sharing knowledge but don’t have time to create entire courses, can focus on what they do best while we handle the active learning and engagement.

The Team

Guang and Tyrone met in college at MIT studying Computer Science and both are extremely passionate about learning and teaching.

Tyrone became a chess master in 4 years just from watching YouTube, has learned 4 languages, and has taught computer science around the world.

Guang has taught algorithms (as a TA), math, physics, and music to hundreds of students. He has also become an elite American Ninja Warrior and coached students at multiple gyms.

Because of our experiences, we have unique insights on how to learn and teach effectively.
