Our mission is to revolutionize humanoid robotics by developing robots capable of performing complex tasks, transforming how we interact with technology in industries like healthcare, manufacturing, and beyond.

What We Do

At Proception, we are developing advanced humanoid robotic hands and robots, starting with a high-precision hand for research. We’ve successfully built our first functional prototype in just 4 months—an incredible milestone that sets us on the path to shipping to researchers soon. Our unique approach to data collection—where we collect data through human interaction rather than teleoperating robots—has significantly increased the efficiency of our data gathering. This enables us to train more effective AI models for manipulation and task execution.

The Journey Ahead

Our robotic hands are just the beginning. In the next few years, we’ll expand from hands to fully autonomous humanoid robots capable of performing a wide range of tasks across industries. From healthcare and elder care to manufacturing and logistics, Proception’s robots will drive automation and unlock new efficiencies.

Why We’re Different

  1. Efficient Data Collection: Unlike traditional teleoperation methods, we gather data through human-driven interactions, dramatically improving the efficiency of data collection and speeding up the training of AI models.
  2. Execution: In just 4 months since founding Proception, we’ve built a functional prototype of our humanoid hand, and we’re now preparing to ship it to research institutions in the near future.
  3. Scalability: Our robot is highly versatile and adaptable across a wide range of tasks, with a clear roadmap to scale from research applications to both industrial and household markets.

What’s Next

In the coming 9 months, we will continue refining our robotic hand and prepare for the first shipments to research customers. We’ll also focus on further developing our AI software and preparing for the next phase: scaling to humanoid robots capable of performing real-world tasks. By years 2–3, we plan to deploy humanoid robots into industries that can benefit from automation and complex task execution.

Backstory

My journey into humanoid robotics began during my two years at Tesla, where I worked on the Tesla Optimus project. I developed a deep emotional connection to the potential of humanoid robots, which inspired me to pursue a path where I could bring that vision to life. Before Tesla, I worked at two startups, both of which successfully IPO’d. Those experiences taught me that the most challenging problems, especially in robotics, can only be solved through the agility and innovation of startups. That’s why I founded Proception—to take on these hard problems and push the boundaries of what’s possible with humanoid robots.
