TL;DR -
Forbes called us โCostco of Cloud computeโ recently. With group buying and AI, Pump can save you up to 60% on your AWS compute spend without any engineering effort or financial risk. We signed up over 250+ customers in the last 6 months, including over 50+ YC companies.
How does Pump work?
AWS incentivizes long term commitments, 1 year to 3 year with high discounts. Not only does this require careful planning & thorough future forecasting, but small startups are often not able to commit for such long periods. Thatโs where Pump comes in, we bring companies together under one umbrella - as long as thereโs other companies within the same region and using the same instance as you, Pump rotates these commitments across Company A to B and so on; thus shrinking a 3 year commitment to just about a month; maximum savings and minimal risk ๐
Whatโs new with this launch?
Previously, we could work with companies around the world with the exception of India (irony much?). For legal and tax reasons, AWS has set up a completely different entity for the country and to work with Indian customers, we ourselves had to setup a subsidiary in India. Our second highest traffic & signups always came from India since our launch in April, and given this strong pull we decided to go down this path even as a young company.
We are beyond PUMPED to go live in India and save Indian customers up to 60% on AWS costs!
Why this launch is important?
While adapting our product for India wasnโt that much work, we went through a grueling 4 months of copious paperwork, legalese and tests of patience.
There was just so much monumental effort that went in that we essentially had to package this as a launch :โ)
How to get started?
