Why Now

At Structured, we’re redefining how developers build and deploy data apps by consolidating the entire analytics stack into code. While AI tools like Copilot have made writing code faster, deploying production-grade data-intensive apps is still fragmented and inefficient. Trends like local-first development and in-process data querying are changing how modern apps are built—faster iteration, lower latency, and simpler infrastructure. Structured builds on these shifts with a lightweight SDK that lets developers prototype, deploy, and manage data applications (dashboards, internal tools) in hours instead of weeks.

We’re building the tool developers reach for first when working with data, but great software isn’t just about function—it’s about experience. That’s where you come in.

Why You

This isn’t a “make it pretty” design role. As our first designer, you’ll shape the core UX, visual identity, and overall experience of Structured. You’ll work directly with the founders to define how developers interact with our platform—from the tiniest UI details to the broad user journey.

• Scrappy – You move fast, test ideas quickly, and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty with design, prototyping, and front-end implementation.
• Product-Obsessed – You care deeply about the developer experience and believe that great tools should feel effortless to use.

What You’ll Build

As the first designer at Structured, you’ll define how developers interact with our platform. Your work will be instrumental in making Structured intuitive, powerful, and delightful to use. Some things you’ll focus on:

• Define Our Visual Identity – Shape the look, feel, and personality of Structured, from the core product UI to marketing and brand design.
• Design Developer-First Interfaces – Create a seamless experience for developers working with Structured’s SDK. Think code meets UI, with a focus on clarity, speed, and usability.
• Build Interactive Components – Design a library of snappy, beautiful UI components (think dashboards, tables, charts) that make building data apps feel effortless.
• Prototype & Iterate Fast – Work closely with engineers to quickly test, refine, and ship high-impact designs.
