Machine Learning Engineer (f/m/x)

Typewise (YC S22) is an AI Customer Service Platform for enterprises, designed to elevate and automate customer interactions through custom AI technology tailored to each company’s needs. Trusted by Fortune 500 companies like Unilever and DPD, Typewise reduces effort by up to 50% while enhancing communication quality and customer satisfaction. The platform seamlessly integrates with existing systems such as CRM, ERP, and knowledge bases and enterprise-grade security and privacy protection. We blend leading LLMs with our proprietary AI technology that we develop together with the world-leading ETH Zurich Institute’s AI Center.

We’re looking for a Machine Learning Engineer (full-time, based in Zürich) to join our ML team, which currently comprises three ML Engineers and an MLOps Engineer.

About the role

You will collaborate with our ML team to research, develop, and deploy cutting-edge NLP algorithms and have a direct impact on our product and business. You will have the opportunity to work directly with our enterprise customers, gaining valuable insights into their unique needs and challenges. By analyzing how their customers and employees interact with Typewise, you will develop tailored techniques and solutions that optimize workflows and measurably boost productivity. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our AI technology, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of innovation in the field of NLP.

Your profile

• Degree in computer science or comparable experience
• 2+ years of professional experience building and deploying ML algorithms
• Excellent programming skills in Python, including clean/modular and production-ready code
• Knowledge of ML techniques, especially NLP, and experience working with LLMs
• Understanding of cloud systems (preferably AWS), and experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
• Team player, inquisitive personality, and a (good) sense of humor
• Positive and open attitude toward clients
