What do we do?

We do payroll advances for employees in Egypt by integrating in their employer’s payroll process. We offer NowPay to employers as a benefit to help relieve any financial stress on their employees in case of emergencies. So in case of an emergency an employee can get immediate funding with a tap of a button on their phone.

Moreover - we allow employees to instantly pay their bills from their upcoming pay cheque.

We are currently focused on Egypt - a country with a 100m people and 28m salaried employees.

Goal

Our goal is to achieve financial-wellness for employees in emerging markets by making sure that the 4 main pillars of wellness are served well (Saving, Spending, Budgeting and Borrowing).

Team

My cofounder and I worked together for over 16 years. We went to school together, co-founded a couple of startups together and we worked at IBM, Microsoft and Amazon Lending.

Traction

For the last 7 months we have been growing at an average of 35% m-o-m. We are used by over 7000 employees in 100+ companies and we have issued 2.5m+ USD in advances. We raised three funding rounds with a total of 3.7m USD from regional and international VCs (500 Startups, Plug and Play, BECO Capital, Endure and others)
